We partnered with Pernod Ricard España to trial connected bottles across multiple retailers in Barcelona.
The purpose of this trial was to surface and validate the most attractive content experiences ahead of larger smart packaging pilots. The experiences ranged from discount promotion, through to VIP Sonar tickets, eCrm signup, surveys and exclusive content.
To link the consumers to the digital content, as well as speed up ‘time to market’, the NFC tags were placed on informative neck hangers (as opposed to being incorporated onto the bottles themselves).
Pernod Ricard España gathered critical learnings and consumer insights that contributed greatly to the subsequent connected bottles pilots being so successful.
